It appears that their niece
Ellen Nunns (b.1857) married a gardener named George Collyer (b.1850). (This story originally appeared as descendants of Frances; Recent advice indicates that Harvey was her niece. Too good a story to delete. Ed.) |

Grand-son Harvey (b.1880) despite his epilepsy was a grocer in Bishopstoke. In 1903 he married Charlotte (Lotty) Tate. Lotty was suffering from tuberculosis and for health reasons they decided to sell the shop, move to USA and buy a fruit farm in California. On April 10th, 1912, they embarked on The Titanic at Southampton, with their eight year old daughter Marjorie (Madge), as second class passengers. On the night of April 15th the giant vessel struck an iceberg and sank. Lotty and Madge survived in a lifeboat. Harvey's body (with his life's savings, £5,000, in his pocket) was never found. |
