John Wesley Usborne  
             
Born 17th February 1852
in Grafton Township, Illinois, USA
He died on November 5th 1929.

According to the Prairie Farmer’s Guide J.W.Usborne owned 78 acres in section 33 of Coral Township, McHenry Co. in the 1880’s. It was tenanted by Roy and Sadie Smith.

In 1888 John opened "Usborne's Undertaking and Furniture" business at 205 North State Street, Marengo, Illinois, USA.

The firm bought its first motor hearse in 1915 and was still trading in 1940.
 

News of John Wesley's death relayed by cousin Samuel F Usborne to his son Samuel E Usborne.

Sam F. Usborne died a few days later.
