Julian was diagnosed with bowel cancer on 19th December 2014 and spent most of 2015 undergoing or recovering from operations and chemotherapy. He died at home, surrounded by family and is terribly missed. His funeral was as unconventional, warm and colourful as he was and made the local papers.
