She appears in a trade directory of 1839 under the heading
"Gentry".
In a long will dated 1837 she appoints her brothers John and Thomas
executors and gives them £50 each for their trouble. The inheritance
from her mother Elizabeth (a half share of Elizabeth's messuages, cottages, lands, tenements heredits
and real estate at Amwell end) she leaves to her sister Sophia. She
speaks of a debt owed to her by her brother Henry. Cash legatees
specifically mentioned are: brother in law, Robert Bird Wilkins,
brothers John, Thomas and Henry and her nephew George William Usborne. |
