Esther  Born August 11th 1722 at Lindfield. Married Benjamin Merchant on August 22nd 1762 in Strood, Kent. Benjamin was a Tallow Chandler of Dartford in Kent.

Wallace Harvey was a local historian and antiquarian who researched and developed a huge personal knowledge of the history of Whitstable in Kent. He collected together a huge amount of primary and secondary material which he amassed as an archive at his home in Whitstable. Amongst his papers, now in the National Archives is a document relating to two messuages or tenements. Ref: CCA-U467/A/F/1/2/1  dated 2 Jan 1787. Contents: Indenture.
