At the
beginning of 1846 "Emmy" (and sister Bessie) were at a
boarding school in Ryde run by Mrs.Butts (£68.13s.for a half year for the two of
them), but later they went daily. Emma
went to a finishing school at the age of 18.
She had two children, Emmie and Willie, by William Bishop and a daughter
Beatrice by Pitt Butts.
She lived with her second husband first in Southsea, later at Government House, Princetown, Dartmoor, Devon.
She died at Gover Nursing House, Woking, Surrey aged 56. |
