1534 14 April (abstract):
To be buried in the churchyard. To beme light of our lady 4d.
That son Thomas have the issues of all my lands lying upon the Dene of Lodyngden and to his heirs for ever. Not to sell the lands until he is 30 years old, but if Thomas die before that age without issue then to Walter my son.
The residue of my lands unto son Walter and his heirs when he is 22 years old. The said lands to be letten to ferme to James Bregeland and the profits paid to Walter when 22.
If both sons, Thomas and Walter die before they are aged 22 years then all lands to be sold by my feoffees and the money to a priest to sing in the church of Staplehurst yearly, £6 13s.4d. as long as the money will extend. Also to the making and repairing of the Cawsway adjoining to the way at my gate, in breadth 9 fote, £6 13s.4d within 2 years after my death.
